Nope, the romanisation of her last name is "watase", it's not a mispelling.
You want proof, enable Japanese IME on your computer, and type in "watase", then "watasi" and see which one gives you the kanji for her last name ^^
That, or go through the pain of Kanji radical lookup, it'll also give you Watase. [link]
And that's pretty sad... Because it's obvious that you're standing up for a fake. I mean, that Deviant's page has "FAKE" written all over it without having to point out the fact that their wannabe Japanese is totally mangled.

And I don't know what planet you live on, because almost every Japanese person uses a mixture of Kanji and Hirigana, Katakana for foreign words.
In fact, the symbol for male, female, daily-use words, etc are all Kanji, it's not like it's some sort of ancient code that nobody uses anymore.

I took a quick glance at the page in question, and I wonder WHY on Earth "watasi" doesn't use the standard romanisation that everyone else uses. I mean, it's pretty easy even for non-Japanese to learn, so what's her excuse? [link]
Sure it may not be wrong, but it's like trying to spell words in British English while living in America and vice versa. Also, her sentance and syntax structure doesn't make any sense. So I can see why others think that this Deviant is a fake.
Surely someone whose main career involves art can afford a decent scanner/camera, most of the stuff on that page looks like it was ripped from the net.
